1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for an account, registering for a tournament or league, or otherwise using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility and Minors
Saber Circuit serves athletes, coaches, officials, and other participants involved in light sword competition, including youth athletes.
- Users under 18 years of age require the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the Platform.
- Children under 13 years of age may not create their own accounts. Enrollment and participation for children under 13 must be managed through a parent or legal guardian account.
- Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising and consenting to the activities of minors under their account.
3. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate and current information when creating or updating your account, and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Registration and Payments
Tournament and league registration through the Platform may require payment of fees. Payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Refund, cancellation, and withdrawal handling are governed by the policy published for each specific event or league, which will be made available at the time of registration. LSTA and LSMAF are not responsible for payment processing errors caused by third-party payment providers.
5. Code of Conduct
Users of the Platform are expected to conduct themselves respectfully toward other athletes, coaches, officials, and staff. Cheating, harassment, and other disruptive conduct are prohibited. Conduct during competition, including scoring disputes and rule enforcement, is governed by the official rules of the LSMAF. Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in suspension or termination of Platform access, in addition to any consequences imposed under LSMAF competition rules.
6. Competition Results and Records
Results, rankings, and other competition data generated through the Platform become part of the permanent LSMAF activity record. Disputes regarding results, rankings, or records must be submitted in accordance with LSMAF federation procedures. LSTA and LSMAF reserve the right to correct records in the event of a documented error.
7. Media Consent
Photos and video may be captured at LSMAF events. Use of such media is subject to the media waiver presented and signed at the applicable event, separate from these Terms.
8. Intellectual Property
All Platform content, including but not limited to text, graphics, software, and design elements, is owned by LSTA and/or LSMAF and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Users retain ownership of content they submit to the Platform (such as team or profile content) but grant LSTA and LSMAF a license to display that content on the Platform in connection with operating the Platform and administering competitions.
9. Assumption of Risk and Liability Disclaimer
Light sword is a contact martial arts sport that carries an inherent risk of physical injury. Use of the Platform to register for competition does not replace, and may require in addition, separate signed waivers and assumption-of-risk forms at individual events. To the fullest extent permitted by law, LSTA and LSMAF disclaim liability for injuries, losses, or damages arising from participation in events organized or tracked through the Platform. The Platform itself is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind.
10. Termination
LSTA reserves the right to suspend or terminate a user's access to the Platform for violation of these Terms, the LSMAF Code of Conduct, or applicable competition rules, at its discretion.
11. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly.
